Taking Jesus With You

Have you ever heard of “Take your daughter to work day” or “Take your son to work day” or even “Take your pet to work day”?  My job has dedicated some days throughout the year where you are encouraged to bring your children to work.   Most of my co-workers are so excited to introduce their love one(s).  They walk around taking them to anyone they can find.  There are a few thou who stay in their office and work and do introduce their love ones to anyone.   No one ever gets to meet who they brought to work.   That got me thinking about Jesus.  Do I bring Him to work with me?

I’m RW and let’s have a fireside chat about “Taking Jesus With You”

Do you take Jesus to work with you?  Some may honestly say they do not know or sometimes or yes I take Him to work.   For those that said sometimes or yes this next question is for you.  When you take Jesus to work do you show Him to others or does He stay with you at your desk and others are not aware He is their? My job has a few dedicated days to bring your child to work.  But as Christians we should bring Jesus to work every day and just not a few designated days throughout the year.    Deuteronomy 31:8 comes to mind “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”  Joshua 1:9Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Taking Jesus to work and introducing Him is the desire we should want.   It could be a kind gesture, kind words, the attitudes we show in good and difficult times. Our integrity and honesty we live by.   I truly believe for someone who does not know who Jesus is will see Him in you and He will be known.  Now if they want to further those meetings it is up to us to put it in The Lord hands.   Why do we at times are afraid to disclose who (Jesus) lives in us?  We should not be afraid to share Matthew 10:26So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.”

You see I was talking about work; however this applies anywhere you go.  For example it is nothing wrong going to sporting events but do you take Jesus with you?  When you go to the movies or go out to eat in a restaurant do you take Jesus?  I got one for you.  Do you take Jesus with you when you are driving?   We should always have Jesus with us.   Jesus gave us a promise of the Holy Spirit.  In John 14:15-1815 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be[c] in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” The Holy Spirit is with us where ever we go and for those that do not know Christ can see Christ through us and we make Him known.

The Bible says He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6b).  Take Jesus with you and make Him known to those who you encounter.
